Series: Happy Land
Although that opening image may seem a little grim (there might be some reality included in this project), my happiest days as a child were spent on the coast and beaches of the South West of England. I still experience that moment of elation whenever I arrive at the coast and can finally see the sea. The aim here then is to document what it is I feel and see at the seaside. These photographs were taken during various seasons of the year and as anyone who frequents the English seaside will confess; it's often difficult to tell whether it's Summer or Winter.
